Skarbøvik is interested in people's relationships with possessions. As a designer, she is concerned with enriching the experience of personal rituals and everyday actions. With cultural relevance, Skarbøvik seeks to foster sustainable emotional connections and inspire joyful and present living by focusing on the sensory interplay between humans and objects. She designs, with empathy, unique, attractive, and viable interior-related lifestyle products and furniture in the symbiosis between craftsmanship and industrial production. Balancing the traditional and the contemporary on the sidelines of fast fashion and trends.

Skarbøvik believes nurturing emotional connections between humans and objects can reduce consumption and lead to sustainable living.
